The short version: back up first, understand what you are running, and do not test preview software on anything you cannot afford to restore.
Using the site
These terms govern your use of gonggong.tech and software downloaded through it. By using the site or downloading a build, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site or the software.
You may use the site only lawfully and without interfering with its operation, security, or availability.
Software status and licences
Release labels matter. A Public Preview is unfinished test software and may contain defects, incomplete behaviour, or breaking changes. A release label does not promise compatibility with every Mac, peripheral, operating-system version, or configuration.
Each download remains subject to the licence identified on its product page or in its repository. If a product-specific licence conflicts with these website terms, the product-specific licence controls for that software.
Your machine, your call
Some Gonggong software can stop processes, change system behaviour, install a screensaver, communicate with firmware, or control external hardware. Those actions can cause data loss, service interruption, unstable systems, damaged components, or a device that needs recovery.
- Keep current backups and a recovery plan.
- Read the release notes, requirements, wiring guidance, and warnings before use.
- Use compatible hardware, adequate external power, and safe wiring.
- Do not use preview builds on production-critical systems.
You are responsible for deciding whether a download is suitable for your system and for the consequences of installing, running, modifying, or wiring it.
No warranty
The site, software, firmware, documentation, and downloads are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or error-free behaviour.
Limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Gonggong is not liable for lost or corrupted data, damaged or bricked devices, hardware failure, loss of use, lost profits, service interruption, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the site or its downloads.
Nothing here excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.
Third-party services
Music playback and artwork use SoundCloud. Software releases originate on GitHub and may be mirrored by gonggong.tech as fixed, versioned downloads. Third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices; Gonggong does not control their availability, accounts, cookies, or logging.
Changes and support
Products, builds, links, and these terms may change. The effective date above identifies the current version. gonggong.tech does not operate an account system or on-site support form.
